Think progress, not perfection

Here’s a small, gentle Feng Shui–inspired plan to declutter your bedroom without overwhelm.

Step 1: Start With What Drains Energy the Most (15–20 minutes)

Old Clothes (Closet or Chair Pile)

  • Remove anything you haven’t worn in 12 months

  • Ask: Does this fit my current body and life?

  • Keep only clothes that make you feel comfortable and confident

➡️ Donate or recycle the rest (don’t store “just in case” items)

Feng Shui note: Old clothes hold old energy and can keep you stuck in the past.

Broken or Unused Items

  • Lamps that don’t work

  • Electronics with dead cords

  • Jewelry with missing pieces

  • Furniture that’s damaged

➡️ Fix it this week or let it go.

Feng Shui note: Broken items symbolize stalled energy and can subtly drain motivation.

Step 2: Clear the Bed Area (Very Important)

Under the Bed

  • Best option: Completely empty

  • If you must store: Only soft items (extra bedding, pillows)

  • ❌ No shoes, papers, old boxes, or emotional items

Feng Shui note: What’s under the bed affects your sleep and subconscious—clutter here can cause restlessness.

Nightstands (Create Balance)

  • Ideally matching nightstands (or at least similar height/visual weight)

  • Keep only:

    • Lamp

    • Book you’re currently reading

    • One meaningful item (plant, crystal, photo)

❌ No piles, trash, or random clutter

Feng Shui note: Matching nightstands represent balance and harmony, especially in relationships (even with yourself).

One Tiny Reset Habit

Before bed each night:

  • Put 5 items back where they belong

  • Clear the top of your nightstand

This alone can shift the room’s energy quickly ✨

If You Want to Go One Step Further….

  • Fresh sheets or pillowcases

  • Open the window for 10 minutes

  • Add one calming element (soft light, plant, neutral color)..…Gua Candle!

Share your before and after pics and I'll post them on my social media page. Let me know which candle fits your space. If you need help or unsure of how to place the map, message me!
